03/03/03Biggest ever CV Show stand for Boalloy Boalloy Industries have taken their biggest ever stand, 4-351, at the CV Show. The company will use the 600 square metre stand to launch its Merker semi trailer chassis with Boalloy Tautliner bodywork. Other vehicles on display include two maximum height semi-trailers and a sliding bogie skeletal trailer. There are two bodied rigids, one a Daf 7.5 tonner with drop-side body work and the other a 6.5 tonne Iveco with Luton bodywork.

04/06/07Biggest ever order for GAHFridge products specialist GAH says it just completed its biggest ever UK order, for 1,000 direct drive fridge systems for Tesco’s home delivery fleet. GAH made the units and fitted them to Ford and Mercedes vans at its Rendesham site. The firm is now working on another batch of Solomon bodied Sprinters.

19/02/03Biggest ever product range from Bri-Stor Bri-Stor, which says it is the UK's largest manufacturer of van racking and related equipment, will show its biggest ever product range on stand 2-401 at the CV Show. The company will show van racking systems, ladder loading and other roof racks, static and internal racking systems, security equipment, lighting, towbars and self-contained hand wash units. Bri-Stor also says that its new, white polypropylene van linings are now available for most popular vans at less than the price of ply linings.

16/12/02Biggest UK Stralis order. Iveco just won its largest UK Stralis order, from Hill Hire. The company will take 75 Iveco Stralis tractor units. 40 are three-axle twin steer models and 35 are two-axle versions. All 75 new trucks have identical 10.3 litre Iveco Cursor 10 engines producing up to 430 bhp. Hill Hire says the new trucks will stay on its fleet for the next three years, running out of depots across the country. Hill Hire’s 12,500 strong fleet includes a large number of Ivecos.

19/02/03Biggest Vauxhall van range at CV ShowVauxhall says it will have its biggest and brightest display yet at the CV Show, in a determined effort to maintain the over 30 per cent sales surge last year. Vauxhall will show a rear seat-conversion for its Combo van, a two litre DTi engine for its Astra van models and a high-roof Vivaro model. The company says the Vivaro exceeded its sales expectations by some 30 per cent last year and is now fourth in the medium van sector. The new high-roof model has a GVW of 2.9 tonnes. Both short and long wheelbase models will be available from May, the long wheelbase version giving a 7.1 cubic metre load capacity and payload of over 1.1 tonnes. The Vivaro gets a 2.5 litre 130 bhp common rail diesel soon, too. Vauxhall will also show a 17 seater minibus based on its biggest van model, the Movano.

21/01/03Big military deal for Raba The Hungarian army has selected Raba as its strategic supplier of military off-road vehicles to the Hungarian army for the next 15 years. The company expects to supply about 8,000 vehicles in that period. The new vehicles will be produced with partners, including DaimIerChrysler, and range from one to 54 tonnes.

22/03/05Big milk tank from Crossland at the CV Show Crossland Tankers stand 17-210 at the CV Show says it will have three tanks on show. One is an 8x2 rear steer rigid ex-farm milk collection tanker for Dairy Farmers of Britain. The tank has a 20,500 litre capacity, high speed double pumping system and low level manway for ground level inspection and access. Also on show will be an aluminium artic vacuum waste tanker for Gregory Distribution. This is one of a batch from Gregory’s first ever order for vacuum waste tanks as the West Country Group enters this new market. The third tank is a 19,000 litre ADR artic tanker for UK and European Operator Groupe Samat. With top fill and top discharge facility, the tank is designed to operate at 44 tonnes. Based at 114 Grove Road, Swatragh, Maghera, Northen Ireland and in Burnley Lancashire, Crossland Tankers design, make and refurbish road tankers for the food, milk, bitumen, chemical and waste markets.
